For a lot of people, abortion is unacceptable. It is considered a sin by many religions and remains a controversial topic for debate, despite it being legal in several countries, including the United States. Abortion is a sensitive topic, and although it is never an easy decision, thousands of women across the world have made a choice for different reasons.

Some say there is never a reason to resort to abortion, but that is backwards thinking. At the end of the day, there still exist perfectly valid reasons for abortion. Whether these reasons are social, medical or emotional, we should remember to always respect the right of a woman to make the decision about abortion herself.

Rape. Women who become pregnant through unwanted sexual intercourse most often find that they cannot deal with being faced with the evidence of their assault. Having an abortion may help lessen the trauma the rape causes and could assist the victim in moving on with her life.

Reasons For Abortion

Incest. Pregnancy caused by intercourse with a family member, whether consensual or non-consensual, can be a reason for abortion. Studies have shown that a child from such situation faces considerable medical or health problems brought about by inbreeding. Getting an abortion could be a kinder way than having the child born with mental or physical deficiencies.

Medical Reasons. Sometimes, a woman's health condition just can't handle a pregnancy. Women with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B or other diseases risk transferring their illness to their unborn child. Women with heart conditions, who are susceptible to complication and may die during childbirth. In such cases, abortion maybe the most logical decision to make in order to save a woman's life.

Economic Reasons. Some women live in conditions of extreme poverty that they can scarcely afford to feed and clothe themselves, let alone a child. Facing such financial limitations may be a reason for abortion. It would be disheartening to let a child be born and live in such conditions, and parents can avoid the feeling of helplessness if they are unable to provide support for their child.

Social Reasons. Teenage and unwanted pregnancies fall under this category of reasons for abortion. A young woman may just be too young to cope with the demands of raising a child; or perhaps the pregnancy was a result of a one night stand and the woman feels she is not ready to be a parent.

Reasons For Abortion

While these reasons are often dissected and criticized, the fact remains that no one should force a pregnancy on a woman if they feel they aren't ready physically, mentally and emotionally to raise a child. Abortion maybe the answer.

Reasons For Abortion

Abortion or termination of pregnancy mostly is made from second to third week of pregnancy (when a fertilized egg using ultrasound clearly observed in the uterus) and up to the 12th week. In obstetrics, abortion may be performed in the period 12-22 weeks of pregnancy, but only for medical reasons for abortion. Early abortion is up to 4-5 weeks of pregnancy by vacuum aspiration. Medical abortion is most effective in up to 4 weeks of pregnancy can be recommended for 6-7 weeks.

Abortion - abortion, which is achieved by removing the fetus from the uterus before 22 weeks of development (in accordance with the testimony).

Abortion is spontaneous or produced artificially. Considered spontaneous abortions without any interference of the woman, according to statistics from 8 to 19% of pregnancies. The cause could be a serious illness of the mother or fetus. Of the diseases the mother abortion could provoke a variety of infections in the acute period (malaria, measles, lobar pneumonia, influenza, etc.) and chronic (syphilis, tuberculosis, toxoplasmosis, etc.). By the termination of pregnancy can also cause hypertension, renal disease, severe heart defects, endocrine disorders, chronic poisoning of the mother's body (mercury, gasoline, nicotine, alcohol, manganese, etc.).
Spontaneous abortion

The primary cause of spontaneous abortion can also be a blood incompatibility of mother and fetus, mainly in the Rhesus factor; female genital diseases (tumors and inflammation, processes, genital infantilism, etc.), avitaminosis (mainly A and E). Abortion is also associated with various chromosomal abnormalities.

Abortion

Spontaneous abortion usually starts aching pains in the abdomen and lower back. When you are bleeding in a pregnant woman needed urgent hospitalization. At this stage, the correct treatment (a complete physical, mental and sexual rest, hormones, vitamins A, E, etc.) can contribute to a continuing pregnancy. When a heavy bleeding with clots pregnancy, unfortunately, can not save; may occur life-threatening conditions (severe bleeding, infections and so on), requiring urgent surgical intervention.

Many women after the first abortion complications may occur in the form of cervical insufficiency: the cervix cannot link up tightly, and as the fetus grows, it increasingly opens and causes severe pain. If no stitches in the cervix, miscarriage can occur. What happens, unfortunately, in most cases: females, multiply abortions suffer persistent miscarriage. If chronic inflammation or miscarriage can we prevent, having the appropriate treatment, from severe stress, which is experiencing a woman as a result of abortion, it is almost impossible to defend.

Before the abortion is carried out necessarily consulting a gynecologist, gynecologic examination on a chair, blood tests and swabs, ultrasound diagnosis of pelvic organs with a view to ascertaining the gestational age.
Artificial abortion

Abortion is abortion, which is caused by direct exposure to the fetus or the pregnant body. Abortion is the removal of all gestational sac and scraping the walls of the uterus special tool (a spoon or obstetrical curette) or a suction machine that creates a negative pressure.
Complications after abortion

Percentage of abortion complications ranges from 2 to 30%. Often complications occur after illegal abortions. During curettage of the endometrial can lead to considerable damage to the cervix or uterine wall, bleeding. And in the postoperative period - an inflammation of the uterus and its appendages.

Abortion can also lead to violations of hormonal and menstrual functions (from 2% to 28%), often leading to secondary infertility, and chronic inflammation of internal genital organs. Given the stress on the body, which is applied to a woman during an abortion, not wishing to have a child, it is advisable to resort to contraception.
